Decisions

Decisions in life ........everybody faces the same dilemna. Listen to ur heart ......but what if something goes wrong.Listen to what others say.......but what if it does not turn out the way you expected. Whom will you blame other than yourself? In fact the second approach is far worse than the first because you make your free spirit and thought subservient to somebody else. There is no greater joy in this world than doing your own thing and listening to your inner voice. Chances are you will never fail if you follow the first policy and in the worst case even if u fail, You will still return a happy man at the end because it was your decision and you fought valiantly till the end to see your dreams come true.

This vicious cycle of making the correct decisions plagues us from infancy till our death bed.
Life is too complex to be solved as a mathematical equation. The no. of constraints far exceeds the no. of equations ( data ) available and even the data available cannot be vouched to be absolutely true.So making a decision given this dynamic situation is really difficult. However it is true that a decision that u make at a particular instant is the best decison you make at that time with the limited data that is available to you at that time . Dissonance occurs later when You find that either the data was incorrect/incomplete or the situation changed dramatically. But this dissonance can easily be removed considering that there are nodes arising from each decision tree branch ( even in the midst of the journey after taking a decision) which will again lead you to your cherished goal.

People these days are too finicky .Setting ambitious targets and expectations of the moon is very good.Problem arises when the expectations dont match reality. Thats the situation everywhere whether it be a pauper or CEO, whether in India or US.The reality of our decsions hits us soon .The best way to get out of this self built cesspool is to lower your expectations and stay content . Staying content is derided these days because it is the antithesis to being ambitious. But my take is that being content is a great virtue . A Mcdee
burger may be good for a weeekend bite not a staple food. Ultimately it is the humble Dal-chawal-roti which is the staple food of the masses. All dream for the moon with its pristine beauty but what does the moon have if u go there: jagged rocks, no air , no water.....thats the best simile for making a decision. The sun is far better that way , it shows that it is a hot ball of burning gases and does not hide its identity. Unfortunately, moons have far outnumbered the suns today .

"When in doubt to make a decision, listen to your heart and go for it. This is the only solution."
